Tara Seward for Dublin School Board - Leadership that Listens

F.E.E.D. Our Schools

Fair Funding • Embracing Diversity • Equitable Support • Decisive Leadership

Tara Seward’s vision is grounded in what our schools need right now—fair funding, meaningful support for every student, and leadership that is both transparent and effective. She’s not interested in political soundbites or pushing personal agendas. She’s focused on practical, measurable outcomes that benefit students, staff, and families alike. That’s what leadership that listens really means.

As a candidate in the 2025 Dublin City School Board election, Tara’s vision is grounded in the needs of our public school families.

The Issues that Tara Stands For:

The Issues that Matter the Most

Fair Funding

Public schools deserve better than what the state provides.

Funding Schools the Right Way

Nearly 90% of Ohio students attend public schools, but the state’s funding formula falls short. In Dublin, this leaves families shouldering the burden through frequent levies and rising property taxes. Tara’s background in finance and forecasting makes her uniquely qualified to address these challenges. She’ll work to reduce overreliance on local taxes and push for state-level reforms that protect classroom funding and long-term sustainability.

Embrace Dublin Diversity

Celebrate the differences that make us stronger.

Support for Every Student, Every Background

Dublin is a diverse, dynamic community. Tara wants to make sure our schools reflect and support that. Whether it’s differences in language, culture, learning style, or lived experience, she believes students learn best when they feel seen and respected. She’ll support inclusive practices, diverse curriculum, and culturally responsive programs that help every student thrive.

Every Student Succeeds

Learning should be personalized, data-driven, and goal-oriented.

A Clear Path for Every Learner

From gifted services to special education to literacy programs, Tara knows what it takes to support student success. She’s experienced it as a parent and understands the value of early intervention, clear goals, and follow-through. As a board member, she’ll advocate for smart benchmarks, improved reading and math outcomes, and policies that ensure students get the support they need—when they need it.

Decisive Leadership

Lead with purpose. Act with accountability.

Leadership That Shows Up

Tara has already been showing up to board meetings, levy forums, and coffee chats for years. She listens, takes notes, and follows through. On the Dublin School Board, she’ll bring the same level of engagement. That means setting goals, reporting progress, and listening to the community. Leadership isn’t just about holding a title—it’s about building trust and taking action when it counts.
